This is a quality European baking pan that was exactly what I needed to make Ina Garten's Baba au Rhum. The pan is substantial and well made and should last for a long time if properly treated. The instructions on the pan say "wash and dry immediately by hand," which is not unusual for specialist European baking pans. I don't think we should condemn this pan just because another purchaser grossly mishandled it.

I bought this pan to use in my 3 1/2 quart pressure cooker for steamed desserts, and it fit perfectly. However, I made the mistake of leaving it soaking with water and soap for a few hours. It rusted all over. Since I can't be sure it's food safe, I'm just considering it a loss.

Great tin pan with the design of the european kougelhopf pan and not the classic bundt cake.The size is good for a small cake.If the pan is properly buttered and dusted with flour, the release of the cake is easy.(No need for a lot of butter, but no forgotten area!).I've never baked "sugary and fluid" dough so far, the kougelhopf dough is closer to bread than cake.Metal is thick enough to ensure even baking. Although it is shiny, it's not stainless steel.The one I received was made in Portugal.
